*** BE AWARE OF WHO IS CALLING -
AT&T Security warns employees this weekend to be especially
careful about giving proprietary company information to anyone
claiming to be an AT&T employee or customer. As part
of a H2K Hacker Conference July 14-16 in New York City,
there is a social engineering contest where hackers attempt
to gain proprietary information about a company. If anyone
unknown to you calls for such information, request a call-back
number and check it before returning the call. Verify the person
is an AT&T employee or a legitimate customer and if he or she
has a need to know. If you can't verify employment or the number,
don't give out the information. Any incident or apparent attempt
to compromise the security of the company’s network and/or
computer systems should be reported immediately to AT&T Corporate
